What items do I need to have my document signed?
You need to have a State-issued driver's license, State-issued identification card, U.S. passport issued by the U.S. Department of State, U.S. military ID., and any State, county and local government ID.
Can I still have a document signed if I don't have an ID?
If you don't have an ID, Illinois and Indiana allow the use of credible witnesses. Two people could identify you before a notary public, sign the notary's journal, and produce identification themselves.
